  • Referred to by Hindemith as "Sonatine" in his war diary. Numbered Op.11 No.2 in manuscript. Hindemith consistently referred to the piece as "fĂĽr Klavier und Violine." Occasionally referred to as his violin sonata "No.1" in some older sources, but never by Hindemith himself.
