Extra Information	Although the title in the autograph manuscript (Berlin, SBPK, ms. Landsberg 215) seems to be Variazioni per il Paggio Todesco, most recordings and concert programs mention this piece as Variazioni per il paggio tedesco (variations for the german pageboy), by analogy with similar dedications in the manuscript (e.g. per l'Inghlese de Scotia, per Spagna, per il Francese, ...). Joel Speerstra gives an interesting interpretation of these 'dedications' in the Pasquini Symposium 2010 (pp.256-260).
