Feldmahler, thank you very much for the scan of Mahler #1! Wannes 17:11, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
Hi Feldmahler, would you please take a look at Op.55. In the composer's category there are already workpages of single movements of Op.55, but actually it's a set of 4 pieces. I've uploaded the score of the complete set under the correct title now. The single movements from Sheetmusicfox seem to be from the same Peters edition and could be moved to the new workpage, what do you think? Hobbypianist 15:46, 2 June 2007 (EDT)
Template:Symphonic Poems (Liszt, Franz), the Makecategorysortkey doesn't work. --Funper 18:28, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
Heya there :P
I started translating the Greek page again (since I have finished school :D ), this time taking more care of the translation than last time. I even translated the Featured Scores and the News pages (and I will watch them so I can update the Greek ones as soon as they change).
However, as I was fixing stuff on the Greek Main Page ( ), I noticed that it would look so much better if the text was justified, and not aligned to the left. All I did was add a div tag, with align="justify" before each text, and a closing tag when the text is finished (I also "justified" the News one so it would look homogenous with the rest of the page). Take a look at the Greek page to see if you like it (well, I do), and if you do, you could do it in the English page too (and I could do it on the other pages). If you don't like it, then tell me so I can remove the justification of the text from the Greek page too.
Take care! :) ~ jujimufu 11:01, 6 June 2007 (EDT)
P.S. Also, I noticed some kind of bug in the main page. I clicked on all languages to see the pages, and I saw that for all the languages, the language menu removes the current language and shows the other languages. However, in the case of Netherlands, it removes English and it highlights (with bold) the "Netherlands" option.
I was also thinking about which one's better: leaving all languages in the list, and highlighting the selected one, or removing the selected and showing the rest. I think that leaving even the current language in (but without being a link), and highlighted (with bold) would be better, because it would give the list of all the languages irrespectively from the language shown.
Don't know what exactly this is, but it appears to break the broken redirects. --Leonard Vertighel 11:28, 6 June 2007 (EDT)
Hi Feldmahler, I checked the works of which the files have been replaced yesterday. Could you have a look at Fantaisie Op.37, Caprice brillant Op.70, Rondeau and Romance Op.75 and Traumbilder Book I Op.79? There are links to the pdfs (in blue) but if you try to download them you get nothing. Another problem is with Valse Op.59. I always get a corrupted file of exact 3.686.400 Bytes, first I thought it were a problem on my side, but I tried it several times (I use Mozilla Firefox) and the file list gives the correct size of 4.323.430. Hmm, maybe the system needs more than 24h for update? If the uploads were incomplete I'll do it again, just tell me. Hobbypianist 07:42, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
Just a small observation: The number of works advertised on the Main Page is increasingly off, as more and more non-work pages are added in the main namespace (composition lists, publication info, etc.). The number of pages in the Scores category would probably be a more accurate figure. Would it be difficult to add a counter for that? (Certainly not a high priority issue.)
By the way, is there a particular reason why those OtherLangs: things are not in the Template: namespace? --Leonard Vertighel 15:47, 7 June 2007 (EDT)
Feldmahler, could you please do a little merging on Alkan's work page? http://imslp.org/wiki/Concerto_from_Minor_Etudes_Op.39_%28Alkan%2C_Charles-Valentin%29 and http://imslp.org/wiki/Symphony_from_Etudes_Op.39_%28Alkan%2C_Charles-Valentin%29 and http://imslp.org/wiki/Le_Festin_d%27%C3%89sope_from_Etudes_Op.39_%28Alkan%2C_Charles-Valentin%29 need to be inside the main Etudes page from which they are taken (http://imslp.org/wiki/12_Etudes_in_all_the_Minor_Keys%2C_Op.39_%28Alkan%2C_Charles-Valentin%29) thanks! Are Cassado compositions/arrangements public Domain in any country in the world?
File Formats - diff - Yes? =P ~ jujimufu 11:11, 8 June 2007 (EDT)
Also, I've had several questions about translating IMSLP into Greek. For example, should I translate templates such as Template:WorkNonPD-EU? And if I do translate it, how would it be possible that it appears in the Greek page?
Hi, Feldmahler, would you please correct the names of A.Jensen. Adolph is an old spelling, its actually written with f. The second one is A.Gruenfeldt, the correct name is Grünfeld. Thanks :) Hobbypianist 14:50, 9 June 2007 (EDT)
As per a recent thread regarding this matter of where to put arranged works, I would respectfully request that in this instance these two pages be relocated to the composer and not the arranger (Saint-Saens in this case): http://imslp.org/wiki/La_mort_de_Tha%C3%AFs_%28Concert_paraphrase%29_%28Saint-Sa%C3%ABns%2C_Camille%29 --> Massenet http://imslp.org/wiki/3_Transcriptions_from_Beethoven%27s_String_Quartets_%28Saint-Sa%C3%ABns%2C_Camille%29 --> Beethoven Whether they should be moved entirely or simply linked I suppose is up to the admins. I'm fine with it either way so long as these pages appear in some fashion on the COMPOSER pages. Thanks. Daphnis 20:07, 9 June 2007 (EDT)
Hey there!
I was thinking that maybe we should merge the Help:Editing page with the Help:Tutorial/Page editing page, mainly because Help:Editing contains pretty much the same information as the Help:Tutorial/Page editing page, but in much more detail, so it would be wise not to have two pages, and have the Help:Editing page redirect to the Help:Tutorial page instead.
What's more, I was thinking that maybe we should link from Help:Contents to Help:Tutorial some how, because they are both help files and are not linked in any way. Perhaps we should add Help:Contents in the navigation menu of Help:Tutorial so that all help files can be navigated through one menu (that of Help:Tutorial). Or we could move Help:Contents to Help:Tutorial/Contents, and have Help:Contents redirect there.
Tell me what's it going to be, so I can make the appropriate changes in the Greek pages as well. ~ jujimufu 07:11, 10 June 2007 (EDT)
Also (to Feldmahler), concerning the translation of the site, I've been wondering if I can help translate the general Greek version of the wiki, because some terms have not been translated (such as "browse scores" on the left navigation menu) and I have created pages for the Help and Sitemap pages, as well as Site Support and others (and translate the headings of the submenus in the left navigation menu). Tell me if I can edit the Greek version of the wiki (either through you or alone) so I can start working on a completely Greek version of the site. I'll be finishing with the translation of all the pages in a couple of days, so that should make it for the first completely translated version of IMSLP. Thanks again, take care! ~ jujimufu 10:42, 10 June 2007 (EDT)
IMSLP:News: "Please report any downloading problems to the forums." - "The forums are down for maintenance" - Sorry but this just made me laugh... you might wish to change the former. (By the way, I didn't write "2 entries" but "2 milestones", and moreover it's just a suggestion.) --Leonard Vertighel 05:45, 12 June 2007 (EDT)
