Vladimir Victorious Anisimoff was born on March 14, 1950, into a family of Soviet engineers in the city of St. Petersburg (former Leningrad) in the Russian Federation (former USSR).
Despite the fact that there was no one in the family who was fond of music, since childhood, Vladimir was captivated by music and became especially interested in composing after accidentally listening to the Concerto n.1 for Piano and Orchestra of his compatriot Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, which he heard through a loudspeaker. Then he was about 6-7 years old.
From that moment on, his connection with music was never interrupted again. He did not become a professional composer but became an engineer at the insistence of his father and mother, then mastered the science of physics, defended the degrees of Candidate and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical sciences. But Vladimir never forgot composing music and at the same time continued to study the piano, which he began at the age of 9 with a private teacher, Associate Professor of the Conservatory Arkady Samoylovich Aronov. Already in those years, seeing such a burning passion for music, the parents bought Vladimir a piano "Red October" and hired an assistant professor Aronov from the St. Petersburg Conservatory, who while gave concerts in the halls of the former Leningrad.
Then Vladimir studied at the Musical School for Adults at the Conservatory in the class of choral conducting with Ekaterina Georgievna Bobkovskaya, and then finally moved to the class of Prof. of Conservatory Josef Yakovlevich Pustylnik in the Seminar of Amateur Composers at the House of Composers in St. Petersburg. Gradually, his compositions became more and more mature, and already in 1975, he wrote the vocal cycle "Traffic Sign" to the verses of the famous Petersburg poet Konstantin Vanshenkin. This composition is still heard all over the world performed by the wonderful soprano Lyudmila Shikhova from Frankfurt am Main (Germany).
Further, over the course of decades, Vladimir Anisimoff created five significant symphonies, the most famous so far is the Sinfonia Piccola (n.3) "Hieroglyph of the World" for Vocalize and Violin, "Frogner Park" (n.2) and the Polyphonicum Quattro (n.1). He also wrote the Musical "Hot Cash"; the "Mass Votive", dedicated to the memory of his parents.
