As some might recognize because of my user name, my main musical focus is music for organ. Living in central Germany, I am an active member of the evangelical (lutheran) church. I have been studying the organ for a few years now and became more and more involved in church music during this time. Recently, I started to learn the basics of composition, which I mainly use for liturgical works. For me, imslp is a wonderful ressource to find new music to play, for services in church as well as for myself. The compositions I will upload here are meant to help other people in the same way that imslp helps me.
My interests include Baroque music as a whole (with a special affection for Pachelbel, Buttstett, Muffat and French organ masters), early (Rinck) and late (Rheinberger) romantic music as well as contemporary organ music (e.g. Arvo Pärt, C. Ferrari).
Current projects:
- Providing scans and new editions of several collections of organ music from the late 19th or early 20th century:
-
- Composition of liturgical and other music which will be published here in collections at some point.
