I am a semi-professional violist based in the United Kingdom, but also (in descending order of ability/confidence) a pianist, violinist, percussionist (tuned and untuned), clarinettist, recorder-player and drummer. I perform or have performed in chamber groups, orchestras (baroque, youth and symphony), orchestral pits for musicals and opera, and brass bands.
I am a very occasional composer, but a much more frequent arranger, orchestrator and transcriber. Many of the pieces I arrange have been for some of the groups in which I perform, although I have sometimes been asked to do so for other groups and sometimes I do so for my own enjoyment and to develop my arranging/orchestration skills. Anything not uploaded on here (and some that are) can be found on my MuseScore page.
Computational science is my day job (I previously trained as a chemical engineer) and I usually can find my way around a computer and any source code to hand.
