Extra Information Unaccompanied and mellow-tone throughout. Work withdrawn 1971, revised 2017. The metronome markings on the score refer to the first performance, when an asthmatic composer needed to play quickly. A more musical pace would use 80 rather than 100 for the 1st movement, 58 for the second, and 100 for the third.
