B&H pub. overture in 1863, not 1865 (is tag accurate? the piece itself is incidental music, not a symphonic poem, to which No.1 is the overture for orchestra only. without more of the piece, hard to tag- don't know full lineup of singers if any, or language used - Schissel) Meyerbeer mentions the incidental music (which this is) in a diary entry (28 November 1861) ("the instrumental pieces contain lovely things, the vocal ones are less interesting"). no word anywhere on whether a chorus is involved in any of them?. BSB seems to have this in publication and manuscript, with choral and instrumental breakdown listed in their catalog-
