First part is to be supposed, Pluto on his Throne, surrounded with the whole of the infernal region, he orders the Prisoners to be brought to him for their Trial, this being done they appear at the Tribunal very much agitated, during this time the Music begins with Pathetic, Tremendous & Agitated Music to to prepare for the Trial. 2d. The Trial is opened, & this is express'd in a Recitativo, after examination, every Endeavour by them to shew their Innocence is in vain. Pluto prepares the Awfull Sentence against them, immediately after that the infernal Demons begin to execute the Sentence. The 3d. part is a piece of Horrid & Savage Music representing the punishment of the Condemned, by the infernal region. |
