Opus number found here

Thematically and stylistically this piece fits very well with the other works of G.D. Wilson, so I'm assuming the W. instead of D. in the initials is just a typo.
The book contains another piece by Wilson ("The Way-Side Chapel", see there), which bears the correct initials.
This chap sure loved his chapels...
EDIT: the worldcat entry confirms that the attribution is correct, thanks Carolus. - R.P.

A contemporary listing checked (a list of new music printed in "The American Bookseller: A Semi-monthly Journal", June 1 1887 issue, p.310) gives the title as "The Chapel in the Mountains" (plural) in 1887 (but nothing in Google Book Search anyway matches "Wilson" and "Chapel in the Mountain" that has anything to do with music (one "hit" that is irrelevant) between 1870 and 1905 - though Google is not the only place one should be checking, of course...) - either listing in Bookseller misprinted publication title or what we have (Toronto: Billing) is not strictly speaking a reprint?
