  • Grove Music's entry is "(for Ben Jonson's play) . . . 9 items, nos.1, 3–9 from ov. to Rodrigo, no.2 (‘Prelude’) probably not by Handel, pubd Walsh (London, 1710), attrib. ‘an Italian master’". This would make the Walsh 1710 edition the first edition, though the 1790 edition above might well be the first edition in Handel's own name.
