"In 1755–58 Bach composed six more symphonies, Wq 174–177 and 179–180" - from the CPE Bach Edition. 1755, Berlin (from Nachlaß-Verzeichnis 1790, pages 43–44. This is the 2nd of the eight full-orchestra symphonies by CPE Bach listed in that source (Wotquenne lists it out of order for no given reason, as mentioned by Ekkehard Krüger and Tobias Schwinger in their general introduction to the CPE Bach edition also available online)). There are horn parts but they may not be original with Bach. (uquebec/Laval says simply that the wind parts in general are optional.) It may be that the original? manuscript is at Brussels; at least, one sees in regards this symphony "Manuscript in ink, copied by J.A. Stellfeld from ms. 7228 in the Bibliothèque du Conservatoire royal de musique, Brussels." suggesting that if ms. 7228 is itself a copy, it's a good copy... whatever one may infer from that... - Schissel
