Swan & Co, published chamber music, piano music, and songs from about 1900 to 1930. Its composers were Bowen, Stanford, Rowley, Geehl and others. The Magnus series of piano albums was important. For the violin it published Elgar's Pastourelle and Virelai (1905, first pub 1883), Percy Godfrey, and Poppei.
The similarly named Swan Sonnenschein, Lowrey and Co. of London was a theological and general publisher active in the 1880s and 90s.
Banks' plate numbers appear to have been issued in a fairly regular chronological fashion. #### Dates in parentheses are estimated.
