The only string quartet by a G. Bachmann or Georges Bachmann that searching seems to turn up is the 2 string quartets op.5 by "G. Bachmann", fl.1796 (published in or around 1796 by Johann André) - see WorldCat. Could this be the menuet of the 2nd of them, found, arranged (perhaps "arranged") and misattributed to the then-contemporary composer Georges Bachmann by Mr. Kafka?...

However, this has the same minuet, same publisher, arranged for violin and piano arranged by the composer, supposedly, not by Mr. Kafka. Maybe the work itself was in manuscript, unpublished? Curiouser and?...
