Facsimile score is preceded by introductory remarks by the composer; he was influenced by twelve-tone/serialist composers in writing this work but did not wish to adhere strictly to the method. (Each movement in fact ends in a defined key area—respectively A, E, E-flat and F, although these cannot be considered tonalities in the traditional sense.)
