This is a musical setting of four separate verses, which can be found in two of the Narnia books: "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". The order in which they are sung is not the order in which they appear in the books, but nevertheless reflects a sort of Christian chronology implicit in Narnia - beginning with prophecy, moving through temptation and sin, and ending with the hope of spring and renewal. This was written for the local community, and is intended as community music, to involve children (both as singers and as players).
