From the uploader's library. On the spruced up illustration the pencilled sum on the cover has been removed digitally, which paltry sum (20 centimes) decided the uploader to bag this work at a second-hand music store in Paris (Cauchard or more probably Gibert) in the sixties, at which date the probably fed up librarian, on account of the composer being unknown and despite the appealing title, instigated a clearing out procedure.

The General Catalog at BnF lists a little under 50 titles by this quite forgotten composer, who apart from this 'Provençal' sonata, also composed the music for a seasonal Provençal Fairy Tale in three scenes called La Crèche Merveilleuse first performed at the Casino of Marseille on December 22 1920 with L.Berthaud of the Opéra Comique in the title role.
