Though the upper string parts are all marked "Viola", the first and second do not descend into viola range, even though the 2nd part is in alto clef. Therefore, these 2 parts could be done by violin. The third part is in alto clef and does descend below violin range, so it must be played by viola. The RISM entry, in the "Further notes", lists these parts as "vla (3), b, bc", while in the Scoring summary it merely says "str bc". Tagged for both options.
