Allitt's catalogue entry: "A 146. Saffo. Cantata for S, chorus and orchestra. Dedicated to Virginia Vasselli, 1828. I-BGc: incomplete autograph score with libretto. I-Nc and I-Mc (Noseda): MS pf scores from which the cantata could be edited and completed." It seems that there are two different cantatas titled Saffo. The first one begins with "Faon, Faon! Ahi misera" and is for soprano with piano (a performance is available on YouTube); the other one begins with "Pietà, gran Dio degli astri" and is for soprano with ?male chorus and orchestra. Or are they parts of one composition? One needs to see the Naples and Milan manuscripts first [1].
