First edition untitled. All known copies are bound with [John Wesley,] Select Hymns: with Tunes Annext (London, 1761). Wesley’s preface to that work discusses the tunes. The tune supplement has no separate title page. It has often been called ‘Sacred Melody’, but this title appears only in the 1763, 1770 and 1773 editions. In 1781 the bulk of the tunes were published with a bassline added, under the title Sacred Harmony, or a Choice Collection of Psalms and Hymns.
