History

Richard Kaun took over H. Schröder of Berlin (1878–1889), a popular music publisher, in 1889, and published both popular and serious works for about 30 years.
Richard Kaun was the composer Hugo Kaun's (1863–1932) brother. One of his other six brothers, Willy, founded William Kaun Music Co. in Milwaukee in about 1900.
