This caprice, more commonly known to the public as the Kachikawawa Rhapsody, was first world premiered by violinist Eddy Chen. The odd time signatures should flow seemlessly, (showcased by Eddy's recording), and the listener should not be able to tell any of the pitches that are being played, in other words the intonation must be off on every single note of the piece. Furthermore, the segments of fast 16ths should be played all the same length (regardless of tempo marking) and the transitions from pizzicato to arco and vice versa should be made instantaneously. At the end, the listener should be unsure that the piece is over, as strenuous breaks should be taken at random times during the piece. As this piece is a rhapsody, the piece should be performed abrubtly as the many motifs are not repeated and only shown once and are shown quite quickly. All best luck to the performer, because they will need it.
