Extra Information
|
*There are at least 3 19th-century vocal scores for this work: by Clasing (Cranz 1861 repr 1872), Stern (Peters 1866) and Lange (Litolff,1883). (Info HMB) Simrock also published the Kyrie (only) of the Requiem as an extra in their 1806 edition of a Haydn mass. Composed on the death of Maria Augusta in 1756. There are more than 80 manuscript copies over Europe. (Perez p.85.) RISM seems to list at least two Requiems by Jommelli, HocJ A1.3 and HocJ deest (D-Rtt Jommelli 16, "1mo Requiem Aeternam" from 1764 (!!).)
