I wrote some music for two PBS specials a couple years ago and thought it might be fun and hopefully instructive to post some some of the rejected sketches for the two medically related shows (one on Female Heart Health and the other on the Science of Aging). Unfortunately, I can't post the final music selected (now owned by the production company), which turned out to be totally different from the initial sketches posted here. For the Heart Health show they decided on a more catchy and bouncy tune and the Science of Aging show used a much more complex harmonic and melodic treatment (for a more "technological" feel). This kind of thing needs to be done on a much smaller scale and budget.
