Founded by Romualdo Fantuzzi (1862–1939, born in Reggio Emilia, an oboist, engraver for F. Lucca and someone who corresponded with Frederick Engels in the early 1890s...), in Milan in 1894. Their publications seem to have fizzled out or been purchased by another sometime between Fantuzzi's death and the 1960s. Composers published by Fantuzzi included but were not limited to Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari (notably La Sulamite), Pietro Floridia, Marco Anzoletti, Mario Tarenghi (for example his Impressions, Op.39), as well as new editions of operas and other works by Cherubini, Rheinberger and others.
