The musical writing of the piece for trumpet and organ entitled "Prayer" is characterized by a strong "elementary" melodic and harmonic component. It is a writing where the trumpet with minimal inventions lends itself to mental associations and dissociations. The sound palette used subjects the listener to a whole and leads him to a profound reflection that leaves out the idea of "I" and fragmentism for a profound musical echo and union thanks also to the very consonant harmony that pervades the whole composition. There are no hierarchies in this piece, hierarchies between organ and trumpet and vice versa, but there is a search for a unified form between the two instruments as a single sound is enough to open up a melody.
The composition is dedicated to his friend and trumpet master Antonio Mariani.
