History

Porfirio Martins was the owner of the music store "Guitarra de Prata" in Rio de Janeiro since ca.1903. In 1918 he started to publish music. Later (ca.1920) he bought the Secção Chopin. The catalogue printed Brazilian popular music and educational music methods.
