Publication by Hofmeister first noted in Monatsbericht (1853), p.440. Publication noted in the Bibliographie de la France , 43d year (1854), No.26 (1 July), page 456 (Heugel), registration 252.
Feb. 4 1854 (Saturday) Illustrated London News p.91 refers to the premiere (London or world premiere is not clear) as having been the preceding Wednesday (February 1 1854, therefore) and contains a review. There are at least one or two other sources. Kiallmark, Ries and Paque are named as the performers.
