This piece for solo lyra viol in ffhfh tuning is extant in 3 different manuscripts. The music is much the same, but the ornaments are different in each source. The earliest (Ballet) may date as early as the 1590s. The middle version Och 439 is prior to c1620. The Merro D245 version is from the late 1620s-mid1630s. For comparison, all 3 versions are presented in score (with a staff notation transcription) and then each version is presented in its proper playable tablature form, at the end of the file.
