Extra Information Claire Delbos’s Paraphrase (1939), subtitled “pour la Fête de tous les Saints, le jour des Morts, les Dimanches 24º après la Pentecôte et 1ᵉʳ d'Avent,” is a liturgical organ work premiered by her husband Olivier Messiaen (1908–1992) on 14 March 1939 at the Église de la Sainte-Trinité, Paris, published by Henry Lemoine in 1946, and noted for its dense textures and apocalyptic character that elicited sharply divided contemporary criticism.
