This firm started in Delitzsch, a small town near Leipzig, in 1873 and published a large quantity of piano music, solo songs, choral works and other works, by Carl Kuntze, Richard Bartmuss, C. Schumann, among others, into the 20th century. A firm with the same name also existed in Darmstadt in the first half of the 19th century. May be related to a publishing house "P. Pabst" in Leipzig early in the 20th century.
