As the header "Peters' Mass in D" suggests, this, along with Feast's Veni Creator and Asperges me was a part of the Mass in D (Peters, William Cumming), though they were not used in Peter's original edition. They were used in a later "Improved and enlarged edition", though where the 3 movements fit is unclear.
