I'm not a medievalist or a HIPster, and am completely prepared to be told this is a load of crap by someone who is. I don’t have access to Hildegard's performance practice, and the rhythms and ison are entirely my invention. It isn’t (and can’t be) an attempt to reconstruct her sound-world; it’s a conversation with it. But I think it makes musical sense, and the act of notationally refreshing this antiphon for 2026 such that enthusiastic amateurs can sing it seems very Hildegardian to me.
I worked from the Dendermonde version for this arrangement because in my opinion it is the more musically succulent of the two: the Wiesbaden Codex smooths out some of her more elaborate melodies in places. You can view a scan of the codex here (login with a free account required).
