A collection of motets for the Temporale Common (ordinary Sundays).
In many references, "Pietro Giovanelli" is credited as the main contributor, but he was not a composer. He was the patron of the collection, which, according to Erin Lambert, "was unprecedented in size; it included more than 250 motets [. . . it] provides insight into activities of the Habsburg court chapels in Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, and Prague." (Singing the Resurrection: Body, Community, and Belief in Reformation Europe, pp.168-169)
