Nautilus The Nautilus is one of the oldest living creatures that still subsists today, its proportions, studied by the Fibonacci “golden section theory”, show the Nautilus to be perfect. It is a crab of the warm seas that amazed Julio Verne’s imagination. The Nautilus also resembles the shape of the french horn. This work appeared from the interplay with those elements in a non-rigorous way. It liberally applies the “aureal” proportions, especially concerning the structure of the piece. It uses an electro-acoustic device that multiplies the sound image of the horn and gives it diverse spaces by means of reverbs and virtual echoes; as if it were a dialogue between a group of sea animals.

Nautilus es uno de los seres vivos mas antiguos que subsisten en la actualidad, sus proporciones, estudiadas por la "teoría de la sección áurea" de Fibonacci, muestran que son perfectas. Es un caracol de los mares cálidos que asombró la imaginación de Julio Verne. Su similitud en todos los sentidos con el corno es muy clara. Esta pieza surgió del juego de esos elementos de una manera no estricta; aplica libremente las proporciones áureas, sobretodo en cuanto a la forma de la pieza. Opcionalmente utiliza un dispositivo electroacústico que multiplica la imagen sonora del corno y le proporciona diversos espacios por medio de reverberaciones y ecos virtuales, como si se tratara de un grupo de animales marinos dialogando entre si.
