1950-52: Musical publications: Baroque chamber music (often edited by Gotthold Frotscher (1897-1967)) and contemporary works by Max Butting (1888-1976) Johannes Thilman (1906-73) and the theater music composer Herbert Baumann (1925-2020).
1952: Officially renamed Mitteldeutscher Verlag Halle/Saale.
1953-1989: mainly literature publications
1990: became a private company
