Misc. Notes Manuscript damaged (D-Mbs, Mus. MS 1).
Title page plus 60 folios, containing only the Brumel mass, in choirbook format.
Inscribed for a performance by Orlande de Lassus in Munich ca.1568, the first folio of the manuscript bears the names of his adult singers, recorded in his hand against the various parts.
Folios 56 to 60 are partially lost, owing to the manuscript having rotted, affecting the final section of the mass, a single setting of Agnus Dei… miserere nobis.
There are no earlier sources, and none later containing the entire mass.

Referred to in Fétis (1861 and 1883) and in Kretschmar (1913), even by Combarieu (1920, Histoire de la musique des origines au début de XXe. siècle) as (still) in manuscript, i.e. not yet published. (First publication listed by Worldcat is in the 1969–1972 Brumel opera omnia, but there might have been an earlier?)
