In the exact same day Brandes composed this piece, the handy harmonica player (Engels Espíritos) left home and went his own way, becoming his former step-father. He was his stepfather prior even to Brandes' Op.1 production, and accompained Brandes composing his Nocturne Suite Op.8, however the Piano Concerto Op.10 n°1 was finished after Op.13, so Brandes was sending the movements for him to analyse by distance. After the Piano Concerto was finished, they never contacted again
