Historical Publication Info
History
London music sellers and publishers. About 1820, Thomas Mayhew joined in partnership with piano manufacturers, music sellers and publishers Phillips & Co., trading for a couple of years as Phillips, Mayhew & Co., before becoming Mayhew & Co. around 1822. Their Dublin agent was Andrew Ellard. Apparently no link to Isaac Mayhew & Co.
In December 1824, they advertised that they had purchased some of John Whitaker's copyrights.
Around 1830, Leoni Lee joined, before continuing the business alone a year or so later under his own name.
