Liesel (Lisette) is a character from Wenzel Müller's Singspiel "Das Neusonntagskind", with first performance in 1793. The theme of the dance can be found in the 2th act of the Singspiel. Therefore it seems, that Müller is the creator of this melody. It follows, that the attribution of the dance mentioned here RISM 450051307 to Mozart must be incorrect.
