History

This Paris publishing firm operated from 1855 until being taken over by Alphonse Leduc in 1905. It published many works, sacred and secular, by Charles Gounod (1818-1893), including the popular items Jésus de Nazareth (known as Bethlehem in the English-speaking world) and Sérénade. It also published works by Alfred Lebeau (1835-1906), Auguste Lebeau and José Puig Alsubide (1823-1914).
