Misc. Notes From the uploader's family archives. French text. Cleanly manuscripted in black ink on Lard-Esnault music paper (from the period 1849-1891) by the uploader's grandfather, Philippe Besset (1870-1936), a Rodez schoolmaster and music amateur, on two pages out of four. The two other pages are of a mysterious cantata entitled : Cantate en l'honneur du P(ère) Séguret martyr au Tonkin, whose unmentioned authors are quite obscure. Joseph Séguret (1856-1884) was a catholic missionary, born in Rodez, who was killed in Tonkin (now Laos), and transfigured as a local martyr.
