The "cello" part in the score is not marked as such. Also, of the two "viole" parts, one is in alto clef, but the other is in tenor clef. There are 22 entries at RISM, some use 2 cellos instead of 2 violas, and there are a couple that use bassoon as the bass instrument, etc. Grove Music's entry says "16 Le tre ore di agonia, incl. 7 with org, str, 9 with org". Tagged as per Grove Music.
