Laue of Berlin operated in the 1820s, but was bought by Friedrich Hofmeister in 1832. It was a general publisher, with technical books such as Karsten's five-volume Handbuch der Eisenhüttenkunde, literature such as the Novelle of Rellstab, as well as music in its list.
As regards musical works, Laue published several works by Carl Gottlieb Reissiger (1798—1859) and Mendelssohn: his Violin Sonata Op.4, Piano Sonata Op.6 and the opera Die Hochzeit des Camacho, Op.10. Several minor composers also appear: Ludwig Berger, Heinrich Dorn and Gustav Reichardt.
