Published by Schirmer as "by the Chevalier A. de Kontski" and "From manuscript edited by Wm. Scharfenberg." (The composer was still alive, leaving one to wonder about all this. His brother Apolinary (A.) de Kontsky was deceased in 1884 but did not go by "Chevalier". Confusing...)
(On 2nd thought, I have seen this elsewhere in the LoC "American Memory" scans, today even- in another less confusing form (one clearly done during the composer's lifetime and with the collaboration of the composer, and also clearly a first edition from its description (published by Russell of Boston, in that other case.))
