Extra Information | This volume is in fact Legrenzi’s Op.11. The printing of La Cetra as Op.10 appears to be an error on the part of the Venetian publisher, who was presumably unaware of Legrenzi's actual Op.10 published in Bologna in 1670, Acclamationi divote, Op.10. The correct numbering of Legrenzi's publications resumed in 1676 with the issue of Cantate, e Canzonette a voce sola, Op.12. To add to the confusion, when Legrenzi's Bologna publisher reissued La Cetra in 1682, they retained the designation as Op.10. |
