History

Music publisher founded, at least in part, by Joel Engel in Berlin in 1922. Based on the activities of the Jewish folk music society founded in Russia in 1908, the firm specialized in the publication of Jewish art music. Engel moved to Palestine in 1924 and founded the publishing firm Jibneh.
