Though Charpentier himself write "choeur" in the score, there is also a good chance this was done with individual voices. According to Grove Music, he was, at the time of writing he was composer-in-residence and a singer for Mademoiselle de Guise, whose "eventually included seven female and seven male singers plus instrumentalists". Therefore, this is also tagged for individual voices. Grove Music's instrumentation is "6/4vv, str, bc".
