This edition of an original manuscript was a submission which may or may not have been accepted for an advertising campaign in favour of the unsuccessful journal Messidor, which was launched in France by the powerful trade union C.G.T. in March 1937, and ceased publication at the outbreak of W.W.II. Its catch phrase or slogan - which may have been imposed - Je suis Messidor... J'apprends Messidor can be rendered as "I am (or "I follow") Messidor - I learn (or "I teach") Messidor".
