History
Josiah Byram Millet (1853-1938), a Harvard graduate, started publishing in 1890. His most famous item was the book Japan: Described and Illustrated by the Japanese.(Harvard library information)
The firm also published an organ series Vox Organi in four volumes in 1895-6. Other series included Famous Composers and Their Music and Half Hours with the Best Composers.
